Our History
The journey of Brainchild Project
April 2024
Brainchildproject was officially unveiled during the book launch of our founder, Nengesha Mwar, in Abuja. What began as a heartfelt announcement has since grown into a registered nonprofit.
Mid 2024
Began producing original documentaries featuring exceptional children, showcasing their creativity and dreams to the world through digital platforms.
Ongoing
Engaging children at various events and public spaces, asking them "what do you want to be when you grow up?" Their answers have become the heartbeat of our work.
Future - Summer 2026
Planning our flagship event that will bring together children, creators, partners, and global supporters to celebrate talent, inspire action, and scale our impact.

The passionate people behind Brainchild

Nengesha Mwar
Founder and Programs Director
Nengesha Mwar is a Creative Enthusiast; He is a filmmaker, writer, and researcher with over a decade of experience in storytelling and creative development. His passion for amplifying children’s voices is deeply personal, rooted in his own childhood dreams growing up in a small village. These experiences are captured in his recent book, Updated Village Champion (https://selar.com/308559) Nengesha has volunteered with several child-focused organizations, including Transformational Parenteen and Victorine Home for Children in Abuja. Through Brainchild, he is committed to helping every child, no matter their background, share their story, showcase their brilliance, and connect with a world ready to listen.

Deborah Olayinka Isajimi
Trustee and Legal Counsel
Deborah Olayinka Isajimi is a dedicated legal professional with a passion for child development and advocacy. She earned her L.L.B from the UTG in 2016 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2019 after completing her training at the Nigerian Law School, Yenagoa. Currently serving as Counsel at Seun Olokeogun and Associates, Deborah practices as a Solicitor, Advocate, and Arbitrator. She has been a long-time volunteer and partner with the Bikers Race Initiative, a nonprofit supporting children cyclists in Abuja. Deborah is also a committed children’s church teacher, where she mentors and nurtures young minds spiritually. At Brainchild, she brings both her legal expertise and her heart for children to help steer the organization’s mission with integrity and purpose.

Egbe Ejeje
Operations Manager
Egbe Ejeje is a graduate of Urban and Regional Planning from the Cross River University of Technology, Calabar. He began his career in education, serving as a teacher at Beeri High School in Rivers State and later mentoring students at JSS Jibi in Abuja. A passionate sports enthusiast and lifelong advocate for children, Egbe brings his experience in teaching, marketing, and financial advisory into his role at Brainchild. He is dedicated to inspiring and supporting children to dream big and take confident steps toward their future

Zainab Ibrahim
Health and Charity Liason
Zainab Yusuf Ibrahim is a pasionate pharmacist, medical writer, and advocate for both health equity and climate literacy. A First-Class graduate of Pharmacy from the prestigious University of Sharjah, UAE. Zainab has worked as an oncology pharmacist, where she successfully facilitated support from a local NGO for cancer patients in need. Her commitment to public good goes beyond the hospital walls. She is also the co-founder of The North Climate Literacy Project, a youth-driven initiative that educates young people in Northern Nigeria about the impacts of climate change and empowers them with knowledge to act. Zainab brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, humanitarian vision, and grassroots advocacy to Brainchild, where she serves as our Health & Charity Liaison, helping to shape projects that improve child wellness, inspire global partnerships, and champion vulnerable communities.

Michael Ijeje
Social Media Consultant
Michael Ijeje is a graduate of Science Laboratory Technology from the University of Benin, with over five years of experience in social media management. He specializes in building strategic engagement across platforms, using tools like Twitter and others to scale online presence and foster vibrant, sustained communities. With a strong grasp of digital trends and communication strategies, Michael plays a vital role in amplifying Brainchild’s message, connecting the world to the dreams and stories of African children.

Chukwu Elizabeth
Inclusive Learning Coordinator
Chukwu Elizabeth is a dedicated Special Educator and Music Therapist who works with children facing challenges such as autism, ADHD, speech delays, and learning differences. With a child-centered, music-based approach, she uses rhythm, movement, and play to build communication, confidence, and emotional growth with children. Through community outreaches, Elizabeth has seen the power of inclusive support firsthand. She is currently working to expand early intervention services in underserved communities by launching mobile therapy and learning hubs to reach families in remote areas.
